Warts

Hi,

I knew after months of relationship my girlfriend got vaginal warts. She went into sugery last year (january 2008) and she was called to attend another check up, it looks it was re-generating again.
I got vasectomize (I am a male)  1 year ago and we do not use any kind of precaution, we are an stable couple.
May you advise in this issue, please?
I do not have any infection as far as I am aware, but I think I should know which choices I got, what I professional can advise.

Hello.

Warts in any area of the body are extremely contageous--like herpes. It's important that you wear a condom to protect yourself because if you get warts on your penis, then you'll keep re-infecting your girlfriend, and warts can be a precursor to cervical cancer. You don't want to endanger her health, so time to experiment with different condoms and find the ones that work best for both of you. Best of luck. Dr. J
