you do need to go to a doctor. The morning after pill is exactly that- it has to be taken pretty quickly to create an unfit environment for the egg and cause an abortion. But if you go to a clinic like Planned Parenthood, they will be very gentle with you and help you make some good choices about what you want to do. If you don't want to keep the pregnancy they will tell you where to go for a safe abortion. Believe me, this is a very supportive organization and you can call them first and find out more about them.. I urge  you ,however, not to delay. If you do get an abortion you want to do it as early as possible- it is much less physically traumatic that way and you can also get some great counseling. You can also call NARAL ( the national abortion rights action group and they can also give you advice and recommendations.  Again, if you want more information- go to either the Planned Parenthood site or the NARAL sites on the web to get more information. Don't be scared- everyone understands and wants to help you!

You HAVE to see your doctor for the abortion pill (mifepristone)... and very soon. You only have a fairly short time to take it, and if you wait too long, you'll have to have a surgical abortion. Either way you're going to have to see your doctor, so I think you're way better off going NOW and getting it over with. If money's an issue, you can also go to Planned Parenthood.

emma scared or not you must go. think what will happen if you just wait it out because of fear? if you choose to not keep this baby then time is important. if you choose to keep it then you need prenatal visits. either way you were responsible enough to have sex, you need to be responsible to get to the dr. get out the phone book. look up the family planning clinic or whatever they call in where you live and get in. what is the fear? dont wait do it today.

Mifepristone can be used to prevent fertilization, but it has to be taken in the first 72hours after sex.  It is also prescribed in higher doses to end a pregnancy if you are already pregnant.  However you must be 8 weeks (2months) or less.  If you are more than 8 weeks pregnant, you will have to have a surgical abortion.  Good luck!
