menstrual problems

My period is always 7-8 days and a medium to heavy flow. I had a period sep 11- sep 17 then started spotting the 24th and the 25th. Since sep 26 I've had a light period that I'm still on and it's Oct. 15.Since I've had a period that has never happened. My boyfriend and I have unprotected sex... could it be because I'm pregnant?

There are a number of reasons for spotting. You could have break through bleeding that is nothing else but that. You could have a spontaneous abortion. Stress can cause changes in a period. It is possible that you are pregnant. All of these outcomes are possible- but you won't know what is going on unless you go see a doctor- so go do that!
Meanwhile- what are you and your boyfriend doing!? Why have unprotected sex unless you want to be pregnant or perhaps catch a sexually transmitted disease? You really have to look at your deeper emotions and see if you are unconsciously trying to get pregnant- or are feeling self destructive. I understand that you might not like the feel or hassle of a condom-but there really are no alternatives if you want to avoid disease and pregnancy. If you find that you have sex often without protection, change to an implant contraceptive or some kind of automatic contraceptive so you can't "forget" to use it. That won't solve the transmission of disease problem, but at least you won't have to worry about pregnancy. Do take care of your health and recommit yourself to using a condom when you have sex. Why worry- and why take a chance of either having a child you haven't planned on or having an abortion. Every child deserves to be planned for - and you deserve to have a happy healthy life. Don't undermine both by bypassing contraceptive precaution.

My Aunt has the same problem. Actually she is such a heavy bleeder that she even has to wear a pad too. And since she bleeds so bad she has to get blood transfusion sometimes. What I am trying to say is that it may be noraml. Maybe you are irregular. You should go and talk to your gyno doctor and see what he/she says. Maybe she/he has the answers to your questions.
