whats wrong with me?

i'm fifteen years old and i've been sexually active for two years now. I dont use condoms but i am on birth control.
tonight i was with a boy, we had intercourse and after he left i went to get in the shower, but when i did i noticed that my vagina was swelled. but only like on one side. It burnes and hurts bad. Will the swelling go down or will i have to tell someone. I REALLY dont wanna tell my mom or even a doctor about this. Im really scared. Could this be like a disease or anything?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
If you're old enough to have penis-vagina sex, you're old enough to take responsibility for your health. Think about it: if you ignore medical conditions, they'll usually get worse. Is that what you want for yourself?

Birth control pills do NOT protect against viruses, bacterial infections, etc. The only way of determining what's going on is to see a doctor for an examination. Call your local Planned Parenthood, which has confidential teen clinics that are either free or low-cost. Do it today. You'll feel lots better when you do.

Hello,

When having sex, especially depending upon the position that you are in...it is possible that you could have irritated that side of your vagina.  It may have not hurt at the time but once you were done and your adrenaline calmed , down you realized the pain.  I would leave it alone tonight...do not play with it or touch it.  Tonight if you read this in time I would sleep with light pants and no under wear or nothing at all, sometimes we need a little air down there.

If it is still at the same level of pain tomorrow I would scheldule an appointment with your doctor.  It is better to be safe than sorry, right?

Dont be afraid, there are many facilities that are avaiable for those with no medical insurance or for young people who are afraid to go to their regular doctor fearing that their parnets would find out.  Go to google type in your town or state and put in clinics or testing...I dont know where you are from but some are called Planned ParentHood, Fam Care...etc.  If money is a concern...these facilities ususally have a sliding scale(the cost of being examined or medication will depend on your income).
Good Luck to you!!
