Abnormal Cells

by legaleagle591, Apr 21, 2009 02:55PM
I had a mole removed on my breast and the cells came back abnormal.  Is it possible that this is indicative of cancerous cells inside the breast?

In my opinion, no. Its probably just involving your skin cells. But to ease your mind you should get a Halo Pap test. Ask for it at your gynecologist office, its a little machine that they put on your breasts that extracts cells from your nipples. (Its like a really strong suction.) Then they send those cells to to be examined for any abnormal cells. Its supposed to detect any abnormalities in the breast up to eight years sooner than a mammogram would because it can find cancerous cells before you develop a lump. Its definitely uncomfortable but it only takes a few minutes. I know how hard it is to wait for results so maybe having this done in the meantime might make you feel a little calmer. Good luck!
