Melnoma follow-up

by maeday, Jun 24, 2009 02:59AM
Is there ever indication to do additional testing following removal of melanoma in situ with clean margins?  I'm having regular skin exams with a dermotologist, but is there any reason to have a pet scan?  Nothing additional has been found on the skin.  Should it be done just for 'peace of mind' or is that obsurd?
