Mole Hurts to Touch...Skin Cancer?
I have countless moles all over my body. Many are flat, many are raised up from the skin, etc. I have one on my neck that recently formed red around it and it hurts to touch. Consensus on other sites is that it is most likely cancerous. I'm going to see the doctor soon, but I would like other opinions.

Thanks.

I agree with the consensus - a new "mole" is likely a skin cancer of some sort, and if it's ulcerated (an open sore or inflamed) it's extremely urgent that you get to a doctor and have it biopsied. Newness and ulceration are hallmarks of melanoma. Don't waste any time.
