Scary patch on face over eye

I am worried about a dry, itchy, red patch over my left eye. It has been there about 3 weeks. I have been putting moisturizer creams, as well as, vitamin E oil on it and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. Any advice would be appreciated. I have had squamous cell melanoma on my leg before -- so that is why I'm scared
