Should I be worried

by SDB68, May 26, 2009 08:37PM
I had a Stage 0 nodular melanoma removed from my back in December. I am 40 years old and am now paranoid about about moles. I have noticed a mole on my back about the size of a pencil eraser. I think this is a new mole but it is flat not like the one I had removed. I don't want to bother my dermatologist and be seen as a bother but my other mole grew in a matter of a couple months

Are you getting regular checks? 3 monthly is normal for the first year after a melanoma removal. Please don't worry about "bothering" your dermatologist. It's your life, you only get one, and it's their job to check you out. It is most likely nothing but yes with your history you deserve the dermatologist's well trained eye to at least look at it.

Take care.
