Skin Cancer?

My boyfriend woke me up a few minutes ago telling me he found this pink round ball like mole on the lower left side of his back. I told him to let me see it and I looked at it and it looked pretty normal to me...But when I touched it he said it hurt and it started to feel warm when I touched it. If someone can please help and give us advice that would be wonderful. Thank you :)
