Tingling in area of surgery

A month ago I had squamous cell cancer surgery on the top of my left lower arm.  The past two days I have had  a tingling "needles and pins" sensation below the surgical site down to my wrist and along the side of my arm.  Could this feeling be related to the surgery?  There is a red hard spot in the middle of the scar where the initial skin cancer was.

Thanks for any response.
