White Circles on my Skin

About a year and a half ago I noticed what looked like a small white spot on my chest that had a pinkish ring around it. A few days later the pink had disappeared and the spot was left white. Now that small spot is about the size of a dime and I've gotten about 7-8 more of the spots in the same area on my chest that all started out the same with a small pink ring around them and a few hours to a few days later the spots would be just white and bigger. The original spot is still the size of a dime, and I'm worried the other spots will grow as well. They don't hurt, though they used to itch slightly but there isn't any itching or pain anymore. What could these spots be?
