abnormal mole on child
Hi. My 6 year old was born with a tiny pinpoint mole in his groin area. It had slowly grown with him and became raised, but smooth. Over the last 6-8 months it has doubled in size and is quite raised. There are finger like pieces on it, some are dark brown and some are white. We have just noticed this color change last night. I have made an appointment with his doctor, but it will be a few weeks untill we can get in. He tells me his mole is not sore.

It is good that you're getting it checked out. I think that melanoma is almost unheard of in children that age, if that's what you're worried about.

Good luck.
