dermatofibroma

by Boonie67, Nov 07, 2009 05:31PM
This is not a question.  I work for surgeons.  They told me the bump I developed on my leg this spring was a dermatofibroma and it was nothing.  I thought it was a spirder bite as I am a gardener.  The thing I thought as a bite did not seem to go away and spider bites take a long time to go away. At least on me.  Then I realized it never itched and spider bites itch like crazy.  I mentioned it to my internist on a routine visit.  He told me to get it off.  I told my employer what my internist said and he scoffed at the idea, but agreed to remove it.  It was squamous cell cancer and I had to go back for a wide excision.
