itchy mole

Hi,
I'm 19 and in my state we don't get much sun, probably 2months of heat if were lucky during the summer the rest is rainy windy days and when it is sunny I spend my days in the water with no sunscreen and I sunburn tan and sunburn easily

My question is I developed a mole that is about a cm high that is black and about an inch or less in width with a scabby uneven surface and a small white spot on my upper leg and it is painful when I lay on it and its becoming to itch, I have done my research about skin cancer and what to look for and I have a drs appt in a couple days and am just wondering if there's a possibility its skin cancer?
I'm just concerned if it is how is a skin biopsy done?

Hi there,

I had a look at your photo and I'm sorry I can't really offer an opinion either way. It is great that you are seeing a doctor and they should be able to offer more concrete guidance. Good on you for getting onto this. Take care.
