moles

My grandfather, father, and one son all had cancerous moles removed, so I know it runs in families.

Lately, I have been developing more and more of them. There are four on my lower back right now that are both itchy and painful to touch. Should this be a concern?

The ones my male relatives had were the really big ones that kind of look like donuts.
Mine are just small, light brown...normal looking ones.

Get a 6 monthly check-up of all your moles and then try not to worry in between times.
Painful and itchy normal brown looking moles could be due to irritation but pays to get a look over once.

Take care.

It wasn't until later life I developed my moles.  As a child I was born with 2 large ones that I had removed for cosmetic reasons and then in my 30's started to get moles.  Probably cause/effect from tanning as a teen :(  Back then, we didn't know the risks.
