skin cancer

by rbrwn310, Oct 17, 2009 06:27PM
I have often wondered why primitive people that live in hot climates do not get skin cancer. Then i read where vitamin d prevents skin cancer and I wondered why my doctor never told me that as he recommended sunscreen which has been proven to be ineffective.  I wonder if there is a reason for that.

Probably because the skin colour of locals is adapted to the sunny conditions. It's us stupid pale people who then live in sunny climates who bring it on. People like me should really be living in the north of Scotland, brrrr.
