Watch for the ABCD's of melanoma. Is the moleBirthmarks - pigmented Gestational trophoblastic disease Hydatidiform mole Pth assymetrical ( if you traced the shape and cut it out, could you fold it in half and one side wouldn't be the same shapre as the other side), are the borders notched or regular?, is it one colour or multi-coloured, and has it changed (colour or size, or bleeding/crusting)? Yours sounds like it has crusting from trauma. After it heals keep an eye on it for any changing and show your doctor next time you visit.
If it keeps crusting or doesn't heal or changes in any other way, see a doctor immediately.
