Complex Sleep Apnea

My husband has been diagnosed with Complex sleep Apnea. He has been on a vpap seroventilator for approx a year. He has had many sleep studies but he just doesn't seem to feel any better.

His sleep doc just put him on a vpap auto for a two week trial. He still could fall asleep anywhere at anytime.

Is there anything more we can do for him? He is exhausted all the time. Is there one or two particular sleep centers that are better getting complex sleep apnea under control?

Complex sleep apnea is a difficult condition to treat. Although the servo-ventilators and VPAP are the recommended forms of treatment, there are some people who just don't respond. Did he get a MSLT to rule out narcolepsy?

I'm not aware of any centers in particular. In theory, any of the major academic medical centers with a certified sleep lab should be able to handle these issues.
