RU Sleeping RTS Monitor

Has anyone else used this device and what were your numbers. I just used it last night, medical supply co. picked up this morning  and I assume it will be monday before info. relayed to my doctor. Tired of playing the waiting game so went to website of device and it said >15 is used as indication of OSA. Mine was >26 with 7hr ( episodes per hr.) almost double??!!!

I saw this device at a National Sleep Meeting in Baltimore a few years ago. It's one of many simple home sleep apnea screening devices. For diagnosis of sleep apnea, it's pretty reliable. The only problem is that it doesn't give you sleep stages, sleep position, limb movements, or differentiates between central and obstructive sleep apnea.

Your score of 27 is in the moderate range for obstructive sleep apnea. Different doctors use this data differently, but most would recommend an in-lab overnight sleep study for CPAP titration. Some would order an automatic-PAP device. Dentists that are involved with sleep-breathing disorders may give you a mandibular advancement device and use the same screening test afterwards to see how well this device works. So ultimately, how you use this date is determined by your doctor.
