ain't nothin like a good ole fashioned Jack-N-Coke. sometimes it might take 2 or 3, but it will get the job done. just try it. thats all i ask... after all...what did the old timers do back in the day before we knew anything about this problem?
theres your answer....we didn't have this problem because people worked hard and played hard and they lived longer than people do today.they used alchohol as a medicine...which is basically what our medicine is made up of today. i don't buy this garbage about alchohol keeping you up. depends on what your drinking.
Hi, I've had the same problem. I believe it may be related to my thyroid and I've been working with a homeopath. She suggested I take Iodine (in the form of Kelp pills) to regulate my thyroid. I also have been taking a D3/Calcium/Magnesium supplement before bed time too and that seems to be helping. I also don't eat dinner. I have a late lunch and don't drink anything after 7pm. This has really helped me. I had to take the kelp for 3-4 months before I started seeing a real change. Go to your local health store and see if they can help you. I don't believe doctors really know what they are doing. They just know how to cover your symptoms with drugs instead of focusing on the real problem. I went to a sleep clinic and they said "there is nothing wrong with you". I didn't see a change until I started with this homeopath. Best of luck!
Hi thanks for you comment!
I have tried trazadone and melontonin. I have really tried everything. Nothing keeps me asleep. Last week when i saw the dr. She told me I am suffering from sleep deprivation as i am now having frequent sleep paralysis with hypnagogic hallucinations.
I have the same thing but I take Melontonin every night sublingual form (under the tongue). Other than that there arre sleeping pills you could try like trazadone, even just a slight sedative like clonazepam could help...
good Luck
have you had your thyroid checked? I have the same problem. I wake up every 1.5-2 hours, all night long. Have been for over 2 years.
It is related to hypothyroidism.
PM me if you would like.....Peggy
Hi sweetlittlehugs, how are you? I do understand how difficult it would be not to have proper sleep day to day. You seem to be probably having sleep apnea and anxiety, which might be probably not letting you have a good night sleep. Do you suffer from night terrors? It is better to have a light early dinner and go to bed early. You can listen to soft music or read your favorite book and a gentle soothing massage may be helpful. Do not take sleep medication without a doctor's prescription, as it can be harmful. Do consult a sleep specialist if this worsens. Share your thoughts. Take care.
Sometimes meds or alcohol can interfere with sustaining sleep.
Frequent awakenings can be symptomatic of sleep disorders. While there are many sleep disorders, the 2 we hear the most about are sleep apnea and periodic limb movement disorder.
Some possible symptoms of sleep apnea can be morning headaches, waking with sensation of choking or shortness of breath or fast heartbeat, snoring, daytime sleepiness.
Some possible symptoms of a limb movement disorder are daytime sleepiness, restless or fitful sleep, waking while "changing position" of legs, covers in disarray, joint and muscle pain especially in legs.
Sleep is so important to health and well being. Talk to your doctor about a sleep study. Temporary poor sleep at times can be expected, but if ongoing the cause needs to be uncovered.
