Can you learn to sleep through vibration and noise?

Hi, wondering if anyone can help.  I'm in a difficult situation, there is vibration coming through the floor of my flat but as yet myself and the neighbours cannot work out what is doing it.

I spoke to a CBT specialist about my difficulties sleeping because of this and they suggested following CBT for insomnia.  I wasn't having a therapy session with them though, it was an informal meeting in a group.  I didn't ask if this approach would work for me because I don't technically have insomnia, but I'm developing a lot of anxiety around going to bed because I know the vibration starts up during the night and I'm usually woken after about 4 hours.

I guess my question is, does anyone know if I can learn to sleep through vibrations that come up through my floor and are felt in my bed? They are not horrible or aversive when I'm awake, but they tend to wake me up if I'm asleep.  I know ultimately we have to find the source but until then I think I need to manage myself.  I'm aware of being hypervigilant trying to work out which neighbour is in and who might be causing it (all be it not on purpose, but through the use of an appliance that they are unaware is causing a problem).  My day is starting around 4am everyday because it seems that the vibration starts when a couple of neighbours get up and get ready for work and they get up very early.

I'm just wondering that, although its a real problem, I'm sensitising myself to wake up.  It is very odd to have my bed vibrating, but at the same time I wonder if I'm not helping the situation by being vigilant and things because I might be sensitising myself.

Does anyone know of any case studies or whether CBT actually would work for insomnia thats caused only by an environmental problem like noise, or in my case, not so much noise, but vibration.

Thanks
