Curious about something that happened during the night a while ago.

I am currently 15 years old and when I was 6, 7, maybe 8 years old I had weird things happen at night. I haven't read anything about someone with my same exact problem so I am going to write it here.

At night I would see people. I knew these people in real life. They wouldn't appear only right after I woke up in the middle of the night but even before I would even go to sleep sometimes. These people didn't move their legs or feet at all to move. I remember calling them the wheel people or the people with wheels because it looked like they moved like they had wheels on their feet. The first time this happened I was in my bed and I can't remember if did wake up or I just turned over towards the room but I suddenly see my mom standing their in the middle of the room not moving. I kept saying "mom, mom.... mom!" I got up and ran around her and sprinted into my parents room. I used to always wake up in the middle of the night and go onto the floor next to their bed and sleep the rest of the night there. I did this before any of this happened. I do not remember what I did after I got there but if I were to guess I probably just under the blanked on the floor and went to bed. Ever since then I would see them. I saw my mom's best friend even climb onto the bed. I was always safe under the covers though. One time I even saw my dad on the toilet riding across the room. These people would sometimes form when I looked into a dark room like a closet or something. They would start to form the more I looked and then they would come out. One time I woke my mom and said, "Look! There is one right there, it's right there" She just said I don't see anything! This happened for months and then for some reason just stopped. I just haven't seen one since. However, every once in a while I will wake up with my head out of my covers and I would see one there. I'd instantly pull them over my head and I could feel my heart racing. I would fall back asleep not too long after that. It's kind of embarrassing to say but I am actually still "afraid of the dark." I am almost certain this is what caused it because I still can only sleep when my blanket is practically covering my entire head/face. It annoys me so much. I sometimes get really hot at night but can't take my blanket off or else I feel like when I close my eyes there is something right next to my bed (One of the people)   Apparently schizophrenia runs in my family. My great grandma or great great grandma died in an Insane Asylum because of it. I HIGHLY doubt this is schizophrenia but I used to think it was mild case. My mom and grandma thought that's what it might be.

Something else that went on that involved sleep was this completely unexplainable dream that reoccurred at least a couple times a week. This is dream is IMPOSSIBLE to describe when I am awake. I literally cannot describe one thing from the dream because I simply cannot explain it! I don't even know how to say what I feel. It is extremely irritating to me that I can't. This dream happened mainly when I would spend the night at a friends house. It would on occasion happen in my own bed but mostly somewhere else. Sometimes I would have the dream and start wondering their house. Confused and disorientated. I vaguely and I mean VAGUELY can remember walking around. My friends mom would say: Jake! Jake!! What are you doing?! She eventually got used to it and helped me find my way back to bed everytime.  When the dream happened at home I didn't wonder at all. But I would wake up from the dream and I'd know I was fully awake, but I was still in the dream! I could still understand what the dream was but I couldn't get out of it. I was always dizzy while it happened. This also hasn't happened in a while.

I started recently thinking about this and that's why I am posting it. I was thinking maybe it was all made up or one big dream but I asked my mom and she remembered it and remembered talking to my grandma about it as well. So I am just curious what it was and I why I had it. To this day it still is a mystery and still confuses me to why. Remember it doesn't happen anymore but I thought I'd see what people say.

(P.S. Sorry if I repeat a lot of words or use incorrect grammar. Typed this fast)

There are several things can lead to sleepwalking. If someone in your family is a sleepwalker. It usually happens when a person is going from the deep stage of sleep to a lighter stage or into the awake state. Other causes are Sleep deprived, Stressed, Drunk etc. It is more likely in childhood, thus I suggest consult with a doctor.

I also used to sleep walk a couple of times before.
I would be mumbling and flipping on every light I could get to, mine, the hallways, parents, bathrooms, ect. I'm guessing this is pretty normal though.

Thanks!
