Does seroquel cause comma like dreams?

I started taking seroquel about a month ago. At first it worked perfect, because I was suffering from nightmares and insomnia. But, the past few weeks I have been in such deep sleeps I am totally unresponsive to my alarm clock or my girlfriend. Even after I wake up it takes me several minutes to find out if I'm really awake or not. I seem to dream that I am awake and going about my day like normal, but then I actually wake up and I haven't moved from my bed. I am also experiencing extremely realistic demonic dreams. I think they are real as well, until I wake up. Does anyone know if this is a normal reaction to the medication, and will it sooner or later go away? I'm afraid to go to sleep at night again.

I said something about it to my Dr. I am now taking lithium and seroquel. I have been having an okay time sleeping now.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

As side effects seroquel is known to cause sleepiness and sometimes abnormal dreams. Discuss your symptoms with your consulting doctor he may change the dose or the medications.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
