Mind Wide Awake, Body asleep, Sleep Paralysis, any cure without medication? :|

Is there any cure to sleeping paralysis without takin medication?
i don't want to go see a doctor as i don't want to bother my family as they are already quite busy and troublesome themselves....
well i talked to them about it but they say it's just lack of oxygen in your room and sleeping in a wrong post that caused it, but im having sleeping paralysis for over half a year already.
Sometimes it happened quite frequently as there was a night which many many over 15 episodes happened...
im scared but during these episodes i think it is human instinct to strive to live so i force myself real hard to breathe..
Today...it happened again..and it gotten more serious..a vision and i think it is the first time i hear voices accompanying. 1st i had a episode which is just can't breath, mind awake and body asleep.I stayed up for about an hour and went back to sleep...now this is when the vision and the voices appear..i thought i  saw my mom sittin on top of me and with my asleep sister sleeping next to me talkin to me in my dark room. I thought IT WAS REAL! so i tried to breathe and wanted to say "WAKE ME UP PLZ!!" but since this sentence is too long..i tried to say "hey" instead, with a couple of failure, can't breathe no oxygen or muscle to speak, i tried even harder and finally i was able to say "hey" but in a real weak voice..i tried again and again until i completely snapped out of it..i then realized that my mom wasn't in my room and my sis is asleep deeply completely dont realized that i just had an episode..
so i stayed up for a few hours and went back to sleep.

well i think i have depressions and sleeping disorderly...and exxcessive daytime sleepiness. I read in other forum and articles that said these might be related...
Anyhow, i was wondering if there is any cure WITHOUT medication..

PLEASE HELP...I WANT TO CURE THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

Since ive read from an article that said ppl had WITNESSED spiders and snake crawling up to them, people coming in to kill and stab them, globins gnawing on their body parts and a burning person....i dont want to see these visions....as i am Half or somewhat  superstitious..afraid of ghosts..horrors and serial killer movies..and believes in luck and horoscope.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HELPING :]!!!!!

I can remember when my sleep disorder happened I was 6 I would run around the house in the middle of the night only to wake up standing in front of  my  dad with him holding me by the shoulders ! It was always terrifying.the feeling like claustrophobia ! It would  happen 2-3 times a month for 20years.,I realized then what was happening and that my body was dead asleep but i was Awake
so now when i awake and i cant move i count to 7 and i wake up and i don't have the feeling of anxiety any more.

Dear CRimson
My teen age son has suffered this all his life. It began as sleep walking then seeing things. He would run down the hall screaming help me! He would see all kinds of things and although his eyes were open and he was talking he was asleep. He would have no memory of it the next morning. As he got older this  turned into sleep paralysis and seeing horrble things like the devil. I have had him in 2 sleep studies and he does have two unusual sleep disorders. When he is stressed out it gets worse. When things are going good he doesn't have it at all. It was explainted me  to me regarding the sleep walking that he lacks the switch in the brain that puts us all in a form  of sleep paralaysis so we cannot act out our dreams whie we are sleep. My son was acting out his dreams and it was quite scary.. However, now that he  is older that switch turns on and stays on,. causing sleep paralysis. SInce we know it is really bad when he has anxiety, he was put on an antianxiety which has helped a lot. Before that he was on paxil which also helped with the sleep walking. I also have him do relaxion excersises such as deep breathing or I rub his back to get him to relax and that helps too. If I were you, i would have your doctor send you for a sleep study. That can help them and you indentify  why you  are having this and what can be done about it. My son's is heriditary, he got it from me. I hope this helps you. In the mean time ask your doctor to put you on a mild antianxiety and take it just before you go to sleep. Try relaxing and thinking of places you like such as the beach or a beautiful mountain field. Try deep breathing or have someone give you a back rub to realx you. I know that might sound silly but trust me..I have been dealing with  my son's sleep disorders for 18 years and it does help a lot. I hope you found this helpful and wish you the best.
