Need horse tranquilizer to go to bed.

Let me assure you I never used horse tranquilizer to go to sleep but I will If I don't get better meds soon. I tried natural stuffs (herbal teas, relaxation, melatonin), I tried the OTC sleep aids and I've been prescribed seroquel (quetiapine), desyrel (trazodone) and recently imovane (zopiclone).

NONE OF THE ABOVE WORK!!! (even after doubling or even tripling the doses)

What's after imovane? I want a potent medication that will knock me out for the night and I'm sick of using antidepressents only for the drowsiness side effect. I am NOT drowsy. I am TIRED (it's presently 2 am and I am writting this fully awake even if I took two 7.5mg imovane 3 HOURS ago.

Still not sleepy. Tired? Extremely. Drowsy and sleepy? Not at all.

PLEASE SUGGEST ME POTENT SLEEP MEDECINE.

This has been going on for over three years now, I've tried just about everything.
Currently it is 5:27Am, I have taken a total of three 5mg valium, three 2mg of Lorazapams, two Benidrills , 2 sudifeds, consumed 12 beers 4 hours ago,,,,,,,,
Wide awake!
The only way I used to get a decent nights sleep was to be very physical every day, but since my injury, that's been rather difficult to do.
OH, excuse me,,,when I was smoking weed I slept like a Baby,,,looks like I will have to resort to getting HIGH on weed, was always better than a ******* pill!
Now that I'm out of work because of my sleeping disorder & no more drug screens to mess with, looks like weed is the way to go!

klonipin (clonazepam) it's a bezno.....works wonderful. I have the same problem....nothing knocks me out and I had a really hard time with insomnia.
Some Dr.s are sketchy about prescribing benzo's however.
The only non benzo scipt that helps me sleep is Zaniflex. It's a muscle relaxer....but it has wonderful seditive properties.
Good luck!

Hi Pene, how are you? Hope you are keeping well and able to get adequate sleep? Have you got a sleep study done and are you under the medical care of a sleep specialist. Since when are you taking the sleep drugs and are you been regularly reviewed for the drug dose update. I suggest you not to change the drugs on self. Here is a link to know more about the rohypnol and few tips on the healthy sleep habits: http://www.nehb.ie/youthhealthne/drugs%20list%20rohypnol.htm

Hope you will consult a sleep doctor and get reviewed.
Take care and share your thoughts.

I know how you feel. I've just taken Lexapro 20 mg, 3 Ambien, 4 muscle relaxers. Nothing works. This has been going on for about 4-5 months. My  Gi dr is the next stop.I am afraid of over-dosing , just trying to go to sleep. in the day, i get very leepy . In fact i hve to take  a nap. Also, can't drive. I am rxhausted, tired and disgusted. By the way, if your dr gives you Ambien ,there is a difference between the real thing and generic, I could tell tht right aways.. I don't know about you, but I just keep taking ifferent pills till i get sleepy. Good Luck. Let me know if there is a mirical drug out there !! Lindy

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello.

Have you tried Ambien ?

I would like to find out the cause behind your sleep problems. If your sleep disturbance is secondary to some deep seated problem, taking medicines for sleep will not work.

Would you say your are tired physically or mentally ? How do you feel in the morning hours. Do you feel depressed or anxious ?

Also, it is not clear why you were prescribed seroquel.

Regards
