PLMD caused by disc issues?

by Wanderingjo, Sep 01, 2009 08:55AM
I have a lot going on.  An orthopedic confirmed through MRI that I have a ruptured L5 disc and a Herniated/unstable C5/C6 disc.  Two other doctors have also diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia and via a Sleep Study that I have Periodic Leg Movement Disorder.

All I know is that the PLMD is getting worse and so is my leg weakness/muscle fatigue.  I was curious to know if either of my disc issues could be making it worse?  I am seriously considering having the disc replaced at the L5 to see if that helps.  But I wasnt sure if maybe even the C5/C6 herniation could be causing it?

Thanks for any info.
