Sleep Apnea

by desertgirl, Jan 01, 2008 03:28AM
My mother has this condition and uses her machine every night to help her breathe while she is sleeping. Whenever she gets over tired or stressed she jumps all night in her sleep and stops breathing. She cannot even take a nap during the day it has gotten so bad. Does anyone know what is causing this and how she can fix it?

Hi,
What machine does she use?
Has she been to a sleep specialist? Has a sleep study been done? Is she on any medication?
This could be due to an alteration in her sleep pattern or sleep cycle.
She should consult a sleep specialist for a clinical examination and a diagnosis.
Good luck.
