Hi, welcome to the forum, normally under the influence of the melatonin the blood pressure is usually on the lower side during the night and they are called as dippers. Those who are having high blood pressure are known as non dippers and it is point of concern.
Such phenomenon is usually seen in case kidney damage as evident by diabetes and albuminuria. Hence, you need to undergo kidney function test. Also appropriate change in prescription or night time introduction of anti hypertensive may be needed against prescription. I suggest you to consult physician for further evaluation. Take care and regards.
Thanks to all of you. Finally, after 22 months I believe I am cured. After taking Lexapro 20mg for 5 days in a raw I had no spike of blood pressure at night or "unbearable" filling.
Actually the CPAP pressure was increased to 15. After the study I was told "you don't have sleep apnea". Also I was told that my leg movement were 45 times per minutes !
I am schedule for my third sleep study on the 18th of this month
Thanks
By increased the number I'm guessing you mean the dosage of your meds? So you did have a sleep study, you did sleep enough for them to get substantial information, and there was no sleep apnea? What did your sleep study say about limb movements? Only reason I ask is it took at least 3 sleep studies before my sleep apnea showed up because my legs moved so much I didn't sleep well enough during the studies to experience the sleep apnea at that time, even though it was present at the times my legs were calmer. Just saying that there's a difference between a study not showing sleep apnea and a person not having it. What does your doctor say? It has to be a pretty short list of things that spike the blood pressure while sleeping.
Sleep study, they just increase the numbers
Sleep apnea was ruled out
What did your sleep study show? Has sleep apnea been ruled out?
