Since my insomnia has developed I've read all about making your bedroom sleep friendly. One thing that's causing me problems is the whole "don't use your bed for anything but sleep" rule. I live with another person so my bedroom is my home within my home. I do everything in that bed, watch tv, surf the net, read books. If I were to only use it for sleeping, it would be like I'd be evicting myself from my home. I wouldn't know where to go. Has anyone with sleep issues managed to keep their bed multi-purpose, or is this "only for sleeping" thing an ironclad rule?
