Terrible dreams

Ok here it goes:)
I am a 50yr, Caucasian male
I have recently been threw a very traumatic time in my life that has lasted 6 years:(
I have ubstructive sleep apnea
And type 2 diabetic
I don't sleep much as I have dreaded sleeping at all
I have the most adstract nightmares
Running for my life from something most of the time.
I wake up and feeling like my heart is going to explode out of my chest,
And fighting to draw in some air.
Ok this part I can see this is apnea related.
(But) my sheet are soaked with sweat, my boxers are literally dripping wet as well as my body
(From the waist down only)
My upper body and head are completely dry!
I am laying on top of my bed with no covers.
I find it alarming and very strange that the night sweating is only from the waist down.
Check my blood sugar right away and it's in the 80's most of the time.
Thiroid problem?
Testosterone problem?
Stress, bad dreams?
Apnea?
Again dripping with sweat from the waist down only!
Have to Change sheets, mattress pad and clothes at least 3 times a night!. I shower after each episode and then repeat:(
My doctor just says my diabetes (I don't agree at all)
Thank you in advance
I am very interest to here your ideas
So I can go back to doctor with some ideas and ask him to do some targeted blood work.
