Tired and Unable to Sleep?

I'm a teen who is unable to sleep. I sometimes spend nights with very few hours of sleep (usually 2-5). The thing is: I fall asleep during the day excessively. When I do fall asleep at night, I get really bad nightmares that wake me up crying and screaming. Its been bothering me for nights and its terrifying. Lately, I've been hearing people call my name when I'm alone. I can't stand loud noise and lights hurt my eyes. I get headaches (?) that cause me to tremble and scream and cry. I can't move when they happen. I get irritated easily and once when I was asleep, I woke up in the kitchen with a full meal done. It was around 4 a.m. Another, I've woken up my sibling while I was unconscious and told that sibling to "Pick that up." He said I continuously told him to clean?
I was wondering what the hell is happening with me..

I ask those questions because I used to suffer from the same thing after I had changed my work schedule and my family had gotten a new pet. I had it checked out and am now prescribed medication for it.

A few questions:
1) How long has this been going on?
2) When this started, did you change anything in your usual day-to-day schedule?
3) Have you gotten this checked out?
