To much sleep

I am a 59 year old female. I sleep between 12 & 16 hours daily. Does anyone know what kind of sleep disorder this may be?  I just want to know what is wrong with me. I take depression meds & I take adderall for ADD. But I have had this sleeping problem for a very long time. Can anyone help me?

Hi,

I have the same problem, but I have been told it is because of my meds. I take a lot of them for depression, for pain, antiinflamatories and hypertension.
In the morning I feel so tired all I want to do is sleep.

I wonder if it's unhealthy to sleep to much.

Best of luck to you

You may be sufferring from a sleep disorder such as Obstructive Sleep Apnea. You need to see a sleep center. Check around your area for a good sleep doctor. OSA can be very dangerous.
