apnea and seizures

can apnea be causes by seizures? If so, what part of the brain is responsible for them?

More a question than an answer because I don't know but have read discussions about it, but are you thinking of central sleep apnea where the part of the brain that signals the body to breathe malfunctions? Or that a seizure could cause an obstructive apnea event? The flip side to that is, can lack of oxygen during an apnea event cause a seizure? Sorry to muddy the waters. I'll be watching for knowledgeable answers because I've wondered the same thing. Thanks for asking that question.
