have any tips?

ok i found the right forum. would anyone have any tips on a home remedy or all natural way to cure insomnia or at least help?

Hello.

I can not comment on any herbal medicines as I am not trained in Herbal science.

I would like to add a few more points for you.

If it not depression or anxiety, the insomnia could be idiopathic or primary ( where we are not sure of any cause ). I am not going to ask you to look for the causes !!

Have you read about sleep hygiene ? Try maintaining a good sleep hygiene. Go to bed every night at the same time. All the lights should be off. There should be minimum noise around. Use your bed only for sleep. You should not read book or watch TV lying down on bed. Get a nice warm water bath half an hour before going to bed. Do not exert yourself before sleeping.

Finally, try some good soothing music. I am not sure about Mozart, but I can recommend good instrumental music, preferably on some wind instrument. We have the flute over here in India. But please listen to the music which you can relate to.

hi yes  i think i do have insomnia, but i do not feel depressed and i am an all around happy person. but i am finding it harder and harder to sleep. im not much for medication so i was wondering if you have any herbal remedies in mind?

Are you suffering from insomnia?

Insomnia may be associated with depression, anxiety disorders or chronic pain disorders.

Natural ways that may help prevent insomnia may involve herbal remedies. However, these remedies may not have been fully studied compared to the more conventional drugs.They may cause allergies,kidney and liver problems(with side effects that may be similar to  conventional drugs)

Taking chamomile tea may aid in initiating sleep.Kava and valerian root were also used to treat insomnia. It is best to discuss using herbal supplements with your physician especially when you are taking other medications or had previous bouts of allergies.

I also suggest reading something on homeopathic medicine. There are some books that compile various known home and natural remedies for a variety of conditions. Physician supervision is very essential.
