hot spells

i reach out from under bedcovers for medication, This simple movement which minimally changes the temperature in the bed provokes a fierce heat which can last an hour . . I strip off imediately and so don't sweat. Three times a night reducing my sleep to some four hours. It's spoiling my life for four  years. No help from any source. I'm male, 85, CAD, one stentGAD. Taking Rhythmol 150mg, Coreg 12.50,Levothyroxine 75, aspirin 100,  Otherwise fit , exercise good diet. please comment.

Wishing good luck with the doctor visit.  You say cardiologist - if that's where much of prescriptions came from that may be a good place to discuss possible side effects.

thank you. I will take up the 'life changes' aspect with the cardio next week (if I can remember them - can't even remember what day it is!)

Congratulations on reaching 85, while maintaining exercise and diet management/care, must be related.

You didn't mention what the room temperature is..but is reads as if you are using blanket to keep warm and a slight bit of exercise caused you body temperature to escalate.

I am only vaguely familiar with your list of medications, have you discussed the effect of the combination with a professional (doctor pharmacist)?

What changes in your life took place just before the problem started?  If you can identify any change in medication, diet, or other body/mind issues that may be the problem.
