numb hands when waking up

by turkee23, Apr 15, 2009 07:56AM
im 23 years old...no major health problems, but usually every morning when i wake up my hands are numb. i dont know if its the way im sleeping (even though i wake up in different position every morning). they always have that tingling feeling in the mornings or if i happen to get a nap in. even at night when im trying to sleep sometimes it feels like my arms and legs fell asleep but my mind is still awake, just that weird numb feeling. dont know if something in my brain is messed up or my mind is just full of too much ****...... any suggestions?....why could my hands be numb?

It could be Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, but you should probably visit a doctor to be certain.  If it is Carpal Tunnel, wearing wrist guards at night will help maintain blood flow to your hands.  I hope this is of some help to you.
