violent behavior during sleep

my boyfriend sleepwalks talk and fight and grind his mouth every night.but aslso acts weird.the oyher night i fell asleep in the livingroom.then in the middle of the night my boyfriend woke me up he was tring to sleep over me backwards (his face on my feets and his feets in my face)he was hurting me putting all his weight on me like i wasent there at all.and then the worst of it all he farted.so i pushed him off the bed.he was sleeping but he stated hitting me with his fist and trowing things.but then he went to sleep in the hallway.on the next morning he did not remeber what has happened.do you think its night terrors?and what should i do when this happens again i know they say not to wake up somedy thats sleepwalking but i tought it was just a myth....

Maybe your boyfriend should consider having a sleep study.
