waking up in the middle of the night to see things

This is the second time this has happened, 1st time I woke up randomly in the middle of the night and saw my sister hovering over my bed, mind you shes been out of the house for close to a year, i thought my mum was playing a joke on me, but i got so frightened i screamed for my mum and she was convinced it was an evil spirit or something. the next time i woke up (which was last night) to a snake/python hovering over my bed, and mind you it was a huge, i screamed my mums name but she didnt hear me, so i fell asleep, then i woke again on the same night saw the same snake/python thing hovering next to my bed. and after that i had a dream where i was taking all these drugs. so i had a look at dreammoods and found out that drugs signify a destructive path, or something. i'm honestly concerned, i have been taking medication to help me sleep but they're mainly anti-depressants
anyone with any ideas?

Hey, thank you for getting back to me. Yeah, I do suffer from Anxiety, and am currently on Mirtazapine 45mg. I see a psychologist on a regular basis, and since this has happened nothing too severe has happened, other than last night when I was just about to fall asleep I started hearing voices and stuff around me, as soon as i realised that I was just floating in and out of sleep the voices dissapeared. . It does get a bit intense at times, but I try to manage it as best as I can.

Hello,
Hallucinations occur in the state between waking and sleeping. You may be having hypnopompic hallucinations. Hypnopompia occurs upon waking, and may also be accompanied by sleep paralysis. It may be a direct result of alcohol or drug use, or could be due to insomnia, anxiety, stress or other factors. Try relaxation techniques before bedtime to help the mind shut down. You can also indulge in meditation and yoga.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
