MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi!
I am sorry to hear about your medical problems. In all probability the phlegm is due to chronic sinusitis caused by smoke allergy—this causes post nasal drip. It can also be due to a bad gastric reflux caused by gastritis secondary to smoking. So, the only permanent cure is quitting smoking. However, you can consult your doctor to diagnose whether it is the post nasal drip or reflux which causes your problem—treatment will depend on the cause. Take care!

The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.

What "cure" are you talking about. I should think the smoking is causing the phlegm problem. If that is so, then stopping smoking should result in a cure.
