hi. i smoked with the patch and without the patch, much less with the patch, but i had been told by many people i could have died that way. i don't know who is right but eventually i realized i had to cut out what i knew i shouldn't be doing, and i dropped the cigarettes completely, while on 21mg patch. i got past day 3 ok which everyone has told me would be the worst. truth be told, you will have awful days, but the key is you must not smoke no matter how awful they are. i had my worst day a few days ago and i'm already on the lower dose of the patch -- 14mg. and i tell you, it will be awful, much worse than when after you've stopped and put yourself out of danger by just using the patches, but you must endure those awful things to save your own life and free yourself of the addiction. in time, it does get easier, but it will still be rough in the beginning. you must realize there is no other choice, than to quit altogeter, and the patches alone will likely give you a systematic way of dealing with the physical withdrawl. you must quit because you have to, find the strength within yourself.
Yes.
He did leave on 'old' patches on as well.
Obviously, discussing her two son's deaths (the other was electrocuted in a construction accident) the situation wasn't right to ask details.
Really..from nicotine OD?
A client's last remaining son smoked when using patches.
He died
Renal failure
Gee, it sure sounds like a nicotine OD, if your smoking and using an aid you will poison your self..I have been smoke free with using the gum 9 months, my hubby the Champax, have you tried them? he had a tough time coming off smokes till he took the tablets, was a pack of 50 a day for 35 years...To be honest it is a terrible thing to come off, i heard worse than giving up the grog..you have to fight it everyday, but it does get easier in time..I had to change who i hung with, what i ate and drank that would put me in the situation of having a smoke for at least 3 months, Lots of willpower...Dawn x
That's probably what you experienced! I can't imagine how sick you must have felt, wearing the patch, chewing the gum and using the lozenges, wow! Now you know and I'm sure you aren't likely to repeat it.
I believe you talked about having a young child. That's enough reason to try as hard as you can to get rid of all your bad habits ; )
