I'm Not Coughing

I quit smoking 4 1/2 months ago, and I'm still not coughing. Every once and a while I sneeze, and now that I'm taking Advair for asthma, I now clear my throat a lot. I smoked for 20 years. Should I be worried?

bgainshunter......Congrats on your quit!  I cough when smoking, but as soon as I stopped, the coughing stopped too.  I don't think you have anything to worry about.  How are you feeling otherwise?

Teko......Yay for you here on day13!!

No, I wouldn't worry. I smoked for twice as long and even though I did have bronchitis once, in mid-winter, that was it and I'm coming up on 2 years quit. It sounds like the Advair is doing its job. Clearing your throat could also be from the advair or could be phlegm from your quit. I wouldn't worry though and congrats on your quit : )
