I'm not a gum chewer so it was never an option but I do know someone that quit with the help of nicorette. I think it was her time.
Teko has a point though and that is, if you really want to, then just do it. Try reading through all of the stories at whyquit.com and it will make it easier for you to stay quit.
I used chantix and like any other aid, you have to stop at some point and face the demons : )

I guit in March 07,chewing nicorette.(fruit chill flavor )ONLY others taste like EW!Now I can't get rid of the gum.I buy it as if I were buying a carton of cig's.OH,and the killer I must share is THE WEIGHT GAIN!!!! I don't wan't to smoke again,yet Im desperate to loose the 10 lbs I put on.Last night I actually drempt of eatting a rotiserie chichen!!!!
