I have been off cigs now for 2 weeks. I am using an ecig I bought at a ecig shop. The ones that look like cigs just never did it for me. Right now it's working great. My only problem is my BP has jumped way up since I quit. (I posted question about that) I say anything is better than smoking so get a good one that actually feels like you are smoking and just stick with it. Right now it's working for me.
I have had fantastic luck with E-cigs.. But when you say E-Cigs I have not had luck with the kind you'd find at a gas station or lets say Wal-Mart. I have quit 7 times in the past and always went back. Tried everything from gum, to chantix to patches. Non worked until I found what I am currently using. Also I have saved a ton of money!
What I have had wonderful luck with is basically a Vapor mod machine. You just buy the machine and some nicotine liquid and eventually you can buy lower doses of nicotine. I tell you I feel 100 times better!
I use the Innokin MVP 2, which is a wonderful machine where you can find at your local smoke shop possibly or from somewhere like worldofvape.com
I buy my E-liquid off of Juicemafia.com but depending on where you live you could probably have a shop near you.
It's been 3 months so far, no cravings and I sure don't miss cigarettes. I can taste, I can smell and all those wonderful symptoms that came from Cigarettes is gone.
I quit smoking 15 month's ago after 40 years of smoking.I had tried everything including hypnosis The only thing that helped was my eSTICK e-cig. I feel a heck of a lot better and am not having coughing fits and hacking up blobs of tar.Plus I have saved a lot of money !
You may look at it as "trading addictions", but I look at it as a healthier Alternative. 6 weeks ago I was 30 year smoker, smoking 20 cigs a day, then went to ecigs and now Im at 5mg nicotine and didnt suffer Cold Turkey, soon will try 0mg and hopefully off nicotine forever.
Nicotine itself doesnt cause cancer, its some of the other 4000+ chemicals thats in cigarettes
I tried the ecig, but for me ultimately. I had to bite the bullet and realize that if I wanted to quit the only way I was going to do it was to lay them suckers down. Hardest thing I ever had to do and there is no easy out. I celebrate my one year cold turkey on New Years Eve.
There is a certain mindset that must be achieved and until you have reached that mindset, I dont think anything will work long term. Just trading addictions imo.
I have tried cold turkey, Patches, gums and Chantix, they all didnt work for me, the Chantix put me in hospital and the doctors told me to stay away from them..
So I tried E-cigs, and now have been smoke free for 6 weeks, I started at 24mg Nicotine for the first few days, then found it too high for me, then went down to 12mg for the rest of the 6 weeks, now am dropping down to 5mg.
My ecig is the Joye Ego-T, which is larger than redbulls 510 in the above post.
There are forums on ecigs, just google ECF, it has plenty of info and plenty advice, thousands if not millions of people all over the world have great success with them, I did..
I have not had a cig since January due to the use of ecig. If your addicted to nicotine then get a good ecig and you will not have to smoke ever again. Get a good one so it works all the time. I use the joye 510 its the best, got it from wasatchecig.com Get a starter kit and look up you tube vids and learn all you can. There is nicotine in the ejuice, I started w 24mg and now im down to just 12mg of nicotine, but I wont ever smoke again. I get the nic that im addicted to but not all the carcenigens (over 3000) thats in cigarettes. They work for sure. I say start vaping now and stop smoking. Stick with it and decide that you wont smoke, just vape.
