Yes, I'm experiencing breast pain too. It just started today. I've been on chantix for a week and a half. I have a bit of back pain too in addition to neverending nausea, so I won't be taking it after this month.

Thank you : )  I am extremely lucky and very grateful to have put this behind me.
The physical addiction is nothing (okay, it is something ; )......over in 3 days, but the emotional addiction is the big problem. What helped me was the support I received from this forum and I wrote often, and whyquit.com
I read Joel's library backwards and forwards......it was integral to my quit.

Good luck to you and post often, for support & to support others. It works!

Well done Kathy Jo! That is a great achievement. I took Chantix for 2 weeks and that was enough to stop. The sickness particularly inthe morning and breast soreness was like pregnancy all over again only much worse. I have stopped taking them 9 days ago and am now smoke-free 14 days. The thoughts of having to turn to Chantix again to a barrier that encourages me to keep strong and fight any cravings. However now I don't think about it much and at 31 I feel this is the right time to conquer this addiction as I have a thyroid disorder and coupled with smoking my energy was non existent.

Chantix does work and regardless of the rough ride I am glad I used them to help me overcome the need for nicotine in my life. To smell nice and have a smoke-free home is a huge bonus. I also feel that smoking like other addictions can bring about little drops of selfishness that we are often not even aware of. sometimes I would not notice if it annoyed others because my focus was on my next cigarette. I did not like this behaviour as I am not usually selfish and am glad I am getting rid of the toxins physical, chemical and mental. Good luck, it's worth the battle!

Wow! I didn't have any real bad side effects when I took Chantix. A bit of an upset stomach, but I dealt with it. I guess I should consider myself lucky! I took it for a month and a half.

If it wasn't for Chantix, I doubt very seriously if I would have ever given up smoking and I am happy to say, after 38 years of it I am now 10 months, 3 weeks and 1 day smoke free : )
Good luck to you all.

I have had extreme breast swelling (visibly noticible) and tenderness, as well as very irregular periods. This is very weird and disconcerning. Does anyone know if it is just a temporary thing or maybe I'm having a very uncommon reation to it. Does anyone know if the nauseau and headaches subside over time. Not horrible, but really obnoxious! I just don;t want to do more harm than good.

Iv not heard of that either, but how long has the pain been going on? Breast pain can be caused by alot of things including hormone imabalances which some medications can cause. I wouldnt think chantix could cause that reaction,, but every persons body is different and even the makers may not be sure, although they may say no because its not been reported in to many folks yet.

I hope you figure out the cause, and Id definatly consider seeing your prescriber about it to see if you need bloodwork to check your hormone levels.

Blessings, Jennifer

Go to their website and see if that is one of the side effects. If it isn't listed, then ask about it. I'm pretty sure they have a toll free number.
I had no symptoms other then an occasional upset stomach, so I guess I was one of the lucky ones.
Good luck to you and I hope you find an answer quickly. If you can, will you post it here so others can learn the answer.
Thanks, Kathy Jo
