quitting

i'm in my early 30s. in college i smoked quite a bit, but once i was in my mid 20s i cut down to a couple of packs per week. for the past few years i've only been smoking a couple of cigarettes a day.

i know that i can quit. when i'm visiting family i can go days without smoking and it's no big deal. but, once i get back to my place i fire one up. when i throw my pack away i'll succumb within 24 hours an get a new pack.

ugh. anyone with any tips and/or techniques. if i can make it a week without smoking i know i can extend that week to forever.

Keep your cigarettes, lighter and ashtray in a drawer in another room. The inconvenience of getting the smoke will help you get rid of the habit.
