smoking and delayed period

i just quit smoking 3 weeks ago after 14 years on and off smoking, but the last 3 years i smoked everyday =( but now ive decided to quit ant havent smoked for 3 weeks. and my menstrual cycle didnt come, 16 days delayed now. and im on the pill, never missed. can quitting smoking delay a period? kindly help!

Congratulation on your quit : ) You should be very proud of yourself!

As for your menstrual cycle, I have never heard of it interfering. I think that you should make an appointment with your doctor and see what he/she has to say. Maybe the body is adjusting, but because you are on the pill I would think that your estrogen level wouldn't change.
I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help but please, if you find an answer I would appreciate it if you could share with the rest of us : )
