Finding it hard to speak sometimes. Please help.

I cant remember how long it has been going on for, but i find it hard to say words most of the time. One of the main words i find hard to say is 'Hello'. When someone rings me, i have to say something else as i cannot push Hello out, and when i manage to, my voice seems to go funny. Other words like 'Hales' 'Seven' and other words with the 'Ay' and 'Eh' sounds i find my voice tends to go weird on. These words i find no problem to say when im relaxed and comfortable. Could this be something to do with nerves? Please help me as this is effecting my everyday life and is stopping me to socialize.

This posting reminds me of my sister.  She would often choose different words because they were easier to say (hello was always difficult for her, too).  She was afraid of stuttering.  Several years later she was diagnosed with GAD - generalized anxiety disorder and placed on medication.  Today, she has no trouble speaking or with her "nerves".   I suspect the same might be similar in your case.  Please see your family physician for advice and help.  I wish you the best ....

May i ask, what medication did your sister take to help cure this?
