children's development

What would cause a 1 yr old boy to all of the sudden not want his Momma?  He crys leaving the daycare, only settles down when handed to daddy. His momma is broken hearted.  Anyone have any advice?

Try not to take anything personally that a one year old, two year old does in this regard.  My son was a mama's boy and would not go to daddy for a period of time.  I would just not make a big deal out of it and as he got a little older I would say "we are not mean to daddy. "

I don't know why the sudden reaction to mom . . .  if nothing has happened, I'd chalk it up to a weird phase that will hopefully peter out quickly.

good luck
