This may seem weird but.. (new user here)
I think my ribs and hips are too close together. Often if I'm sitting down, and leaning slightly, they'll press together and hurt. When standing, I can just about fit two fingers (one on top of the other) between them. This can't be normal, can it?

I have a short trunk as well and often felt this was an issue as it seems like that grind against each other ...and it can be uncomfortable.

I am not sure if this is a medical issue or like I said just that u r short waist-ed....

The only other issue u may have is Ehlers-Danlos...u may be sub luxing out of joint...and that would cause pain, not sure it would cause it to be close together.

I just read into Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.. the only other symptom I have of that would be the double jointedness. Though that's only in the tips of my fingers and toes.
